About us

The Energy Transition Education Network (ETEN) serves as a cooperation platform to accelerate education and skill building for a sustainable energy future.

The successful transformation of the global energy system hinges on having in place the people with the requisite knowledge, skills and values. Enhanced education and training measures will be key for preparing a new generation of energy professionals and workers; reskilling and upskilling the current workforce; as well as for creating an informed and empowered public.

ETEN aims to foster global collaboration between educators and educational institutions; industry; government; IGOs and other key stakeholders working to advance education for the energy transition.

The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) coordinates and facilitates the activities of the Network in cooperation with the Network Partners and Members.
